Funk Lab Dance Center is currently accepting registrations for the 2019-2020 season of dance! While we remain the area’s first and most authentic hip hop dance studio, we have also grown to include alternate styles such as contemporary, ballet and jazz. Our experienced, yet fresh, dance instructors are still performing and constantly training to bring the Dayton area the most updated styles and movement. Funk Lab instructors are highly educated to the history and true forms of hip hop. You won’t find a better hip hop program or training anywhere else.

Funk Lab is inclusive!

– With our gender neutral environment and 11 male instructors, boys can feel comfortable taking dance lessons. It is not uncommon for us to have 200 male students at any given time. Dance is not just for girls!
-Adults like to dance too and it’s never too late to learn something new or return to a childhood passion. We have something for every adult! From our basic beginner classes to our adult competitors, we have students who are attending college and students who have grandchildren. Our adult classes are very popular and always sell out. Dance classes are not just for children.
-Do you have a child with a medical or behavioral impairment? We strive to make accommodations for every child. Kelly Dailey, the owner, is a pediatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse as well as a mother to a special needs child. She is CPR certified and employs strict safety practices in the classrooms. We are trained and equipped to teach students on the Autism Spectrum as well students with ADHD and medical conditions such as Diabetes, hearing and visual impairment, and allergies.
-“Ballet bodies” are not required to begin dance classes. Dance is for every shape and size and we celebrate everyone who walks into our studio. The best way to achieve physical fitness is through exercise and we make it fun!! There is no desired shape and size for Hip Hop or Funk Lab. That’s why we love it so much!
-Families of all cultures, races, sexualities, religions, ages, genders, size and abilities are welcome at Funk Lab. Everyone can feel safe in our space!

There are many other reasons to love Funk Lab but we want you to discover it for yourself. Our classes sell out every year. Sign up now! You have a better selection the earlier you enroll. Registration is just $20 per family and can be done online at: www.funklabdayton.com.
